Luo Xihe 9p

Luo Xihe is one of the most famous professional players in China. His more impressive performance was in 2006, he defeated Lee Changho in the final of Samsung Cup, becoming the first people who defeated Lee Changho in the final of an international tournament. Luo will visit our program during the summer, and we all will have chance to experience the strength of a professional world champion.

Chen Yaoye 9p

Chen Yaoye is known as one of the youngest 9 dan professional players, and a rising Go star in China. He is only 19 years old today. In 2005, when he was 15, he already became national champion. And next year, at the 10th LG Cup, Chen reached final, and in the tournament, he played a perfect game by killing Lee Changho’s huge dragon and got an impressive victory; at the same year, in China-Korean national contest, he crushed another top player Lee Sedol 9p. In 2007, Chen defeated Cho Chikun 9p and Choe Cheol-han 9p, got runner-up finally in the tournament, and became the youngest 9p player in the world.

In our program in 2008, we had experienced an enjoyable day with Chen in a professional Go tournament room with nice circumstances. The activity included his real game with another high dan player online, demonstration commenting on one participant's game on KGS, and Rengo with Peter and 2 other Chinese 5d amateur players. In our program in 2009, we'll again invite Chen in our Go activities, and we'll arrange more activities between participants and Chen.
